A group card is one card that many people write in, given to one person. Before, it went from desk to desk. Now a link does the same job, and nobody has to remember where the pen is. (Looking for the train ticket called “groepskaart”? That is a different thing.)
How does a digital group card work?
One person, the organiser, creates the card and shares a link. Everybody who opens the link writes a message, picks a font or handwriting and adds a photo if they like. On the chosen day the card is delivered by e-mail to the person it is for, and they read all the messages in one place.
Who is it for?
For a farewell or a retirement, a birthday of a colleague, a teacher at the end of the school year, a new baby, a get-well message, a wedding, a team that works in different places. Any moment where many people want to say something to one person.
What does it cost?
Starting is free. For up to seven people, one photo each, the free designs and a small watermark, you pay nothing. For € 4.95 per card you get 20 people, two photos each, all designs, the slideshow and a PDF; for € 7.50 unlimited people and three photos. You pay once per card, never a subscription.
Do the people who write need an account?
No. They open the link, write and are done. Only the organiser can optionally make an account to keep all cards in one place.
Is it better than a WhatsApp group?

How do I keep it a surprise?
The receiver is never invited: the link is only for the writers. The card arrives on the day you choose, and until then the person sees nothing.
How many people can write in a group card?
Up to seven for free. With Extra (€ 4.95 per card) up to twenty, and with Plus (€ 7.50) unlimited. For a class or a department of dozens, Plus is the choice.
How long before should I start?
A week is enough for a card for a colleague, two weeks for the farewell of a whole company. Set the deadline two or three days before the delivery date and send one reminder. The day before delivery you get a preview.
What is a group e-card?
A group e-card is the same as a digital group card: an e-card that several people write in. Some people search for it as “ecard for a group” or “card for a colleague from everybody”. Everything above applies to those words as well.
