Hanukkah is the festival of lights, celebrated for eight nights with candles, family and food. A card from a friend or colleague shows that you notice and care.

Traditional greetings

  • “Happy Hanukkah! Wishing you eight nights of light and joy.”
  • “Chag Sameach! Enjoy the celebration.”
  • “May the lights of Hanukkah fill your home with warmth.”

A few tips

Hanukkah starts on a different date each year, so check the calendar. Do not call it “the Jewish Christmas”. Keep the card simple and warm, and use a design with candles, stars or a menorah.
