Mothers keep everything: drawings, notes, cards. That makes a Mother’s Day card more than a greeting. It is something she will take out again in ten years.

Short and loving

  • “Thank you for everything. I love you.”
  • “Happy Mother’s Day to the best mum in the world.”
  • “You are my home.”

A breakfast tray with tea and tulips

Specific

A memory says more than “you are the best”.

  • “I still remember how you sat with me when I was sick and read the same story ten times.”
  • “You taught me to be kind, even when it is hard.”

A bouquet of wildflowers tied with string

Funny

  • “You are always right. It is annoying, but I love you.”
  • “Thank you for not giving up on me during my teenage years.”

A card from the whole family

Children, partner, grandchildren and siblings can each add a message and a photo, and the card arrives on Mother’s Day morning. For a mother who lives far away, it is as good as a visit.
