If you look for an e-card or a group card in Dutch you meet a handful of well-known names. They look alike but do not do the same: some send a free picture to one person, others let a group write and print the result. Below is what each service does, according to its own pages.

We run Emailkaarten.nl ourselves, so read this with that in mind. We say where others are better. Everything was checked on the providers’ own sites on 16 October 2026. When a page gives no price or limit we say so rather than guess. Check the current terms with the provider before you choose.

GoCards: the free e-card for one sender

GoCards.nl calls its e-card service “100% free”. You pick a card (many with music), can upload and edit your own photo, and have it sent by e-mail, later if you wish. You do not need to register to send; the free “Mijn GoCards” lets you save cards and cancel scheduled ones. The site does not mention a function for a group writing in one card. Choose GoCards if you alone want to send something nice and want a big library.

SeniorenNet e-cards: free and without registration

SeniorenNet is a Flemish site. Its e-cards are free, you do not have to sign up and the recipient gets an e-mail with a link to the card. You can schedule a card up to three months ahead, with a free account up to a year. The offer is big: the “Alles” section holds more than ten thousand cards, from birthdays to get well and condolences. Again one sender: the page does not mention a group function. Choose it for a quick, simple card, especially for a Flemish audience.

Canva: design it yourself, share it yourself

Canva is not a card service but a design program. You make a card from a template, with your own photos, and Canva calls its e-cards free. You can invite others to design along, but then everybody works in the same design and needs a Canva account. After that you share a link or file yourself: there is no delivery on a chosen day and no separate space for every writer. It is the freest choice if you want your own look and one person to do the work.

Greetz group card: up to 50 messages through a link

Greetz is the best-known card company in the Netherlands. Its group card page says you make a card, share a link and collect “up to 50 different messages”, then review all messages and send the card. It does not say what it costs, whether the card is printed or whether you need an account. Handy if you already order at Greetz; check carefully what you pay when you order.

Groepswenskaarten.nl: a printed card

This service lets participants add their message online, after which the card is “professionally printed and sent”: straight to the recipient or to you, to hand over in person. The page gives no prices or numbers and refers to Card from us for details. Choose it when the recipient really has to hold paper and you do not mind delivery time and postage.

Emailkaarten.nl

Our own service. Free for up to seven people with one photo each and a small watermark. For € 4.95 you get 20 people, two photos each, all designs, the slideshow and a PDF; for € 7.50 unlimited people and three photos. You pay once per card, with iDEAL, Bancontact or card, never a subscription. Writers need no account, everybody picks their own handwriting and the card arrives as a slideshow by e-mail on the chosen day. What we do not have: printed cards, video or voice messages and a library of ten thousand cards.
