Good news: a friend, a sister or a colleague is expecting. A pregnancy card is different from a birth card. It is about waiting, hoping and being excited together, and it can be a bit more playful.

Congratulations and joy

  • “Congratulations! What wonderful news.”
  • “We are so happy for you both.”
  • “A little one is on the way. We cannot wait to meet them.”

Wishes for the months ahead

  • “Wishing you a healthy and easy pregnancy.”
  • “Take good care of yourself and rest when you can.”
  • “Nine months of excitement. Enjoy every kick!”

A touch of humour

  • “Time to buy a bigger pair of trousers and a much bigger coffee machine.”
  • “Your sleeping days are numbered. Enjoy them!”

Keep jokes light, and do not ask about the due date or the name unless they bring it up.

Being careful with the news

Not everybody shares the news early, and some pregnancies are fragile. Wait until the parents have told you themselves, and do not mention it in a group chat before they do. In a team card, check that the expecting colleague has announced it.

Frequently asked questions about the pregnancy card

What does it cost to send a pregnancy card digitally?

Starting is free: up to 7 people, one photo each, the free designs and a small watermark. For € 4.95 per card you get 20 people, two photos each, all designs, the slideshow and a PDF; for € 7.50 unlimited people and three photos. You pay once per card, never a subscription.

How long does it take to make the card?

About two minutes for the organiser. Everybody else opens the link, types a message and adds a photo.

Do the people who write need an account?

No. They open the link and write. Only the person who makes the card can choose to have an account.

When does the card arrive?

On the day and time you choose, by e-mail. The day before, the organiser gets a preview.
